Bergz Engineering Ltd Modern Slavery Policy 2022

Slavery and Human Trafficking statement

Whilst we at Bergz are not required to publish a Modern Slavery policy, we are doing so to show that we take the Modern Slavery Act 2015 very seriously.  We endeavour to ensure that slavery and human trafficking does not take place anywhere within our business or our supply chain.

Organisation structure

Bergz is a small engineering business which is family owned and run.

Supply chain

Our supply chain primarily involves the procurement of sheet metal for fabrication purposes, and partnerships with powder coat and laser cutting companies; all of these are locally sourced within the North West of England.

Our policies on slavery and human trafficking

We act ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and are committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

We endeavour to:

  • Identify and assess potential risks areas in our supply chain
  • Monitor and mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains
  • Protect whistle blowers

We have zero tolerance to human trafficking and slavery

Further steps

We remain committed to further development and compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains and ensure that our employees and suppliers are fully involved in this process.

This statement is made for the financial year 2022-2023.
